My First Mother's Day at Escala Hotel Tagaytay
Thursday, July 05, 2018
I'm sure any mother would agree that giving birth is the most rewarding feeling ever (it is for me!) but let's be honest, it is also the most stressful job in the world! I didn't realize it until I became a mom myself. After giving birth I stayed in our house and in my parents' house for two months straight just taking care of Keia from day to night! And no matter how much I adore my little one, caring for your newborn can be so taxing, exhausting and yes, depressing.
So as a first time mom, I told Mike I wanted to celebrate my first ever Mother's Day outside Manila (at least). I've been wanting to go out of my house for quite a while and because my pedia allowed me to bring Keia out (even via air because she's exclusively breastfed) we thought it would be a breather for me to go to Tagaytay.
Escala Tagaytay was the preparation venue and Mike's and his families' accommodation during our wedding (Read: My Whimsical Travel Themed Garden Wedding) a year ago. Because I've been wanting to experience it myself, I asked Mike if we could spend 2 days here. Of course, wish granted! Thanks to Mommy Jackie for helping us in our reservation.
So after our lunch at Marcia Adams Tagaytay, we then checked in at Escala Hotel.

We had the best view of the infinity pool and lake. It was so refreshing looking outside! I was so glad I was able to go out after months of staying in our house.

Mother's Day Surprise
My husband has a knack in surprising me every special occasion and this day was extremely special for me as I celebrated my first ever Mother's Day. Seeing all my hardships and sacrifices in the past months, I guess he wanted me to feel loved and important. So he made arrangements with the hotel to give me something I'd be very happy (of course with an additional fee)

The next day, after I took a bath a big wrapped box surprised me! This gift was what I wanted last Christmas, a ring light so I will always look beautiful daw.

Happy Mother's Day to the both us, Mama! And to all the Mothers in world! |
Included in the fee is a breakfast buffet for two at the ground level. Because it was a holiday and a weekend, the area was packed. They have different choices of breakfast food but a bit untidy and unorganized but nonetheless I was satisfied with the spread.
