Babymoon at The Farm at San Benito

Tuesday, January 16, 2018

For those of you who have been following me on my social media sites, you probably know that I am pregnant and already on my third trimester. Yes, it has been that fast! So here's a little rewind during my birthday last year. Luckily, my birthday fell on the start of my second trimester, which means I was allowed to travel again. Hurraah!!! And because we didn't want to experience any complications, Mike and I decided to have a quick staycation near Metro Manila where we didn't need to travel via air. We also wanted a peaceful atmosphere where I can swim and be one with nature. The Farm at San Benito was the perfect venue for my birthday and babymoon celebration.

The Farm at San Benito is a wellness resort in Lipa Batangas. The spacious resort is well-known for holistic healing programs, signature treatments, luxurious amenities, and healthy vegan cuisines. The whole resort is surrounded by greenery and the guest rooms are a mix of native and modern decor making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy my special day.

How to get to The Farm at San Benito
From Manila we traveled for 2 hours via car. It is also accessible via public transportation:
From Buendia areas along Taft Avenue going to Lipa City take either Jam Bus Line or DLTB Bus Line. Upon arrival at the Lipa City Bus Terminal take their air-conditioned private service for a nominal fee (kindly contact +63 91757222222) or take a tricycle going to the resort.

After two hours of driving, we finally arrived!
Upon arrival we were welcomed by their staff. While we waited for check in, they handed us the scheduled activity for the day, a map, wet hand towel and a refreshing organic drink.

Sulu Terraces | P10,200 ++
The most affordable room out of all the villas they offer. It is modeled after the traditional Philippine rice barns with wood-beamed ceilings and thatched roofs, the rustic yet air-conditioned Sulu Terrace imparts the cozy feeling of a modern day tree house with the sleeping and sitting area upstairs, ensuite bathroom and the outdoor lounge area located downstairs.

Infinity Pool
Located at the Healing Sanctuary. The best pool among the three, it also has the best view which kinda reminded me of Bali's Ubud resorts.

South Pool
Located near Alive! Restaurant. It's the farthest from our villa and the largest. When we visited it there were no people in sight and the water was bearable too so this was the area where we relaxed the longest.

Complimentary Afternoon Tea and Healthy Snacks
In the afternoon they served complimentary afternoon tea and vegan snacks. We arrived at the snack area later than some of the guests thus most of the snacks were already consumed. I was a bit disappointed that they weren't able to refill it knowing the number of guests and especially after informing them that I was pregnant. So we weren't able to get to taste the spring rolls :( I was so hungry that time so we just satisfied ourselves with the left over snacks I didn't even like.

The Farm at San Benito offers different programs and treatments that focus on your health and well being such as Detox D'lite, De-stress and Revivify, Mind and Body, Weight Management, Beauty and Vitality and Fitness and Sports Recovery. For the treatments they offer Holistic Sanctuary, Healing Sanctuary and Aqua Sanctuary.

As for me, I availed their Healing Sanctuary which is safe for pregnant women, Arugang Buntis.

Healing Sanctuary

Arugang Buntis | P 4,758
A pre-natal and post-natal treatment, ensuring the healh of a mother, strengthen the immune system, release the muscle tension and energetically balances the body. Pre-natal massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint paints, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health, relax muscle tension, improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle.

Sciatic nerve pain is experienced by many women in their last term of pregnancy as the uterus rests on muscles of the pelvic floor and lower back. The pressure of the uterus spreads tension of nearby muscles. Many women have experienced a significant reduction in sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy through massage.

Changing room and toilet

Good Morning from the Magsaysay's!
It was indeed healthy but I was still hungry after.
Because it was my actual birthday, Mike surprised me by giving me a Vegan chocolate cake after our breakfast.

Chocolate Cake with the caption "Happy Birthday, ChaMommy!"
I remember this was also the dress I wore exactly last year during my birthday in Cambodia
Birthday photo with my hubby before we left the resort
Checked out. 13. Our room and my number of weeks pregnant
Thank you, The Farm!
It was indeed a quick but relaxing getaway with the love of my life and baby. Love how peaceful and green the place is. It revitalized and calmed me even for that quick escape. Although I was a little disappointed with the food especially because I am pregnant, I didn't mind if it's all vegan but I wish they had bigger servings and would recommend a filling dish for us preggo.
