Motel One Wein - Hauptbahnhof Vienna Austria

ChaMike at Motel Wein.
Mike and I together with our friends April and Neal stayed at a newly opened hotel in Vienna, Motel One Wein - Hauptbahnhof.
Location is really important when looking for a place to stay in Europe especially if you will be traveling from one city or country to another. Like our choice of accommodation in Vienna, we booked this hotel because of its close proximity to Vienna's Main Train Station, it is connected to Vienna International Airport and to all the other stations of nearby cities and its neighboring countries like Venice, Italy where we were headed next.
Going to Motel One Wein - Hauptbahnhof from Vienna Airport
From Vienna International Airport we bought an OBB train ticket going to Wien Hauptbahnhof Station, Vienna's main train station. Each ticket costs €3.90 and travel time is around 16 minutes with no station change.

From the station it is just a quick 2 - minute walk going to our hotel. It was that close. Motel One just opened last May 2015 so it was very much new - the facilities are modern and the interiors are stylish.

Wein Hauptbahnhof Station
The main trains station features a wide array of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and information desk. Of course it also has direct connections to the city centre and other famous landmarks.

This was one of the restaurants in the station that we tried on our first day. They serve excellent pizza which we all loved! It is also a plus that their waitstaff is very polite.

Belvedere
Just a 10 - minute walk from the hotel is the famous Belvedere. Because we didn't want to walk that far (we needed to reserve our energy for the days ahead) we rode a tram about less than a minute walk from our hotel going to the museum.
