ChaMike at an Airbnb in Florence.

Decided to book at an Airbnb in Florence for two nights to save money just like what we did in Venice (Read: Da Vinci Canal and Garden View Airbnb Venice Italy). Airbnb apartments are relatively cheaper as compared to most hotels in Florence. There are so many different listings to choose from depending on your preference.

Fiesolana Rose Firenze by Abla and Luca | P4,009 per night
When I checked this colorful and cozy apartment on airbnb.com, I instantly fell in love with it. The quaint Toscan interiors, the capacity of the place (good for 6 pax) and the very affordable rate made us book this apartment for two nights.

Abla and Luca the hosts
Airbnb hosts have different styles of communication and as for Abla and Luca, we weren't able to meet them in person unlike some of the hosts we encountered. We did however meet one of their staff members from Keys of Florence tourism service to get the keys of the apartment. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating - we never had a hard time reaching them.

Going to Fiesolana Rose Firenze from SM Novella Station
From the main train station, they gave us a map going to Keys of Florence office. It was just a quick walk from the station. When we reached the office, a lady gave us a map and password of the door. She told us that we can easily reach the apartment by walking so we walked. But because we had big luggages, it seemed like we were walking for so long - the experience was a lot harder because of the cobblestone walkway.

Walking on cobblestone was a lot harder with bulky luggages

Accommodation
Good thing that the apartment is located on the first floor so we didn't have a hard time with our luggages. The room was just in front of the main door of the building so finding it was not a problem. Of course, the apartment is equipped with aircon/heater and free WiFi apart from the other amenities.

Dining
Upon entering we were welcomed by a tiny space of Toscan interiors of white and orange walls. The dining area was the first thing we saw. It was small, narrow and can fit up to 3 persons only. But if you don't intend to eat or stay here long, the size won't be a problem. On the table you can see maps of Florence guests can use.

Living Room
Next is the living room that has a sofa bed for additional occupant. It also has an LCD TV which we never got to use.

Kitchen
The kitchen is also tiny but has complete amenities

Stove
Refrigerator
Microwave
Dishwasher
Water heater
Coffee maker
Plates
Glasses and cups
Dining utensils
Coffee, creamer and sugar
plus a terrace

Narrow kitchen
We only had coffee and bread in the morning so we weren't able to fully utilize this area

Toilet and Bath
I love the bathroom, it has a bidet too. The shower is much better than the one we stayed in Venice. It also has toilet essentials like towels, shampoo, body wash and soap.

Room 1
Near the kitchen is the bedroom that can fit 2 people. This was where April and Neal stayed.

Room 2
Our room. Located in the basement is the second room that you can access thru a spiral staircase which became a bit of a problem for our luggages. The room has no ventilation but there is an aircon so it didn't become a problem. It has 1 queen sized bed and 1 single bed.

MiniMarket
Located along the street of the apartment, where we bought water, coffee and other breakfast food.

Laundry
5 minute walk from the apartment is a laundry service. We needed to wash some of our clothes so we went here early in the morning before we left Florence.

Came very early, there was no people to ask around!
But we were able to figure it out after a few minutes
Going back at the train station we opted to get a cab as we needed to save energy from all the travels that we will do in the coming days.

Good bye, Florence!
We had a good stay in this apartment, although there were difficulties like the staircase and no washing machine, overall it was a good stay. It is very affordable and we had no problem sleeping. I checked recently that they offer transfers for those guests who don't want to walk going to and from the apartment.
