#ChaMikeMagsaysaysayIDo

Tententenen! Well, this is the MAIN reason why I haven't updated my blog for the longest time. Yeah. yeah. I know this is a travel blog so I am assuming a lot of you will ask why I am posting Mike and I's wedding. For the simple reason that I want to share with all my dear readers (if you are still there. hehe) the happiest day of my life. After all, this is sort of a 'traveling' for me, well in a metaphoric way - I traveled from MISS to MRS. Right? :) So yes, I am more than proud to say that I am now Mrs Magsaysay <insert kilig reaction here>

It all started with Mike's proposal a year ago (Read: The Leap Year Proposal: 4 Years to 4 - Ever) even if we had a year to prepare, I tell you it wasn't enough! Due to two factors -1. my work and 2. my ka-OC-han. Like any bride, I wanted our wedding to be perfect, more so that I am a TV Producer, hence, I wanted to treat it like a grand show. Like all the finales I produce, I wanted it to be heartwarming, memorable and impeccable. So many sleepless nights, nagging, crying, cramming at lahat na ng kabaliwan na experience ko. But yes, I survived! And the result was beyond what I expected.

Theme
Since Mike and I love to travel, a travel themed wedding was the first thing that came out of our minds. But I don't want the vintage type, it's too masculine for my taste so after much Pinterest-ing, I made up my mind to combine watercolor, pastel, dreamy, semi-rustic and dainty making it a whimsical travel themed wedding. Also, since I am a Christian and it's my long time dream to have a garden wedding, we opted for a garden ceremony set-up.

Every wedding has a budget and ours was limited. It's relatively lower from the over-all theme and headcount so to lessen the cost I didn't hire any stylist, I was the one who decided on the entire look of our wedding. Good thing I have a trusty art director to make that vision into reality. I also had a number of friendly contacts who offered discounts and even freebies. Yay! So luckily we stayed within budget. Phew.

Engagement Shoot
We originally planned of having the e-session abroad, like Hong Kong or Japan but because of our budget and tight schedule (I was doing PBB that time), we couldn't afford to leave the country so we did it in Narra Hill since shooting our e-session was part of the package.

Bridal Showers
Usually a bride-to-be has only one shower, but in my case it was different. I had four! Because I have 4 circle of friends and fixing all their schedules to fit in one day was IMPOSSIBLE, they decided to do it per batch.

Wedding Day
I was a Bridezilla for months! Mike was the sole witness of my kalokahan and I really commend him for being sooo patient with me. But I told myself that on the day of the wedding I will not overthink but just release all my worries to God and trust all my suppliers to do their job. And the result? It was PERFECT! Hands down to everyone who helped in making this day magical.

I've always believed that Mike and I had a unique and cute love story so making this AVP was a must in our reception program. Big thanks to our good friend and master editor, Adz Abarquez for creating a masterpiece.
