Walk with ChaMike at Manly Beach.

Aside from Bondi Beach, there is another beach that is also popular in Sydney. Manly Beach was the first beach Mike and I visited. If you haven't read my previous post, this place was magical especially for me as this was the venue where Mike popped THE question. (Read The Leap Year Proposal: Four Years to 4-Ever)
Manly is a small peninsula that has a number of retails stores, cafes and restaurants and many outdoor activities making it one of the most popular places visited by a lot of tourists. The beach was named by Capt. Arthur Phillip because he was impressed with the indigenous people living there for 'their confidence and manly behavior' giving it the name of Manly Cove.
How to get to Manly Beach
Ride the Manly Ferry from Circular Quay Wharf 3
Manly Ferry Fare
AU$7.60
A little trivia, Mike and I didn't pay any ferry fares as we were using our Opal card the whole day so we exceeded the Daily Travel Cap benefit of 15AU$ per day. #Ultimatetipidtip

Wharf 3 at Circular Quay |
Manly Ferry was one of the most famous ferries along the harbor as you will be able to gaze at the two iconic Sydney landmarks - Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. The trick is to rush to the front part of the second level of the ferry for that most coveted view. Luckily we had the best front seats ever! I really believed all the universe conspired in helping Mike achieve his proposal goals.

Getting out of the wharf |
When we laid our feet at Manly Wharf we immediately felt the cool vibe. The sky was clear and the weather was pleasant. It was a perfect day for a beach stroll (for me) & a perfect day to propose (for Mike).

What a view <3 |
Opposite the Manly Wharf was the Corso. The Corso is a wide pedestrian road leading to the beach that has a handful of shops like retail clothing and anything beach related.

Walking Mike |
Here in Manly you can do many beach activities like surfing & snorkeling but what I just really wanted to do was to stroll along the shoreline of Manly.

Oh so Manly too <3 #pagbigyan |
The golden sand, the fresh smell of the ocean breeze and the group of birds resting in unison was just so lovely.

It was even made lovelier when Mike surprised me with the much awaited proposal I've been wanting to happen since forever. And finding a perfect spot for that special moment was easy breezy, everything Mike planned was perfectly put into place. I still have that feels whenever I see our proposal pictures. Indeed the universe conspired.

After that magical event, Mike and I decided to spend more time at Manly so we had dinner at Manly Wharf Hotel which is just beside the Many Wharf. We ordered pizza, burger with fries and our favorite, molten chocolate cake.

We caught the 8pm trip going back to Circular Quay and this time we tried sitting at the ground level but still at the front of the ferry. At night, the harbor looked so romantic <3

Thank you, Lord for everything! |
Mike and I promised that every leap year we'll travel somewhere special, I wish and hope that one of those leap years we could come back to this place to enjoy it more. We can stay here for an overnight or two just so we could roam and explore the beach where Mike and I shared that special moment together.
