B Hotel Scout Rallos Quezon City

Walk with ChaMike at B Hotel Quezon City.
Just last year after having dinner at Eighteen Bistro along Scout Rallos, Mike and I were surprised to see a new hotel called B Hotel standing tall along the same street as if it just popped out of nowhere. Finally another hotel around the area, it is a good thing that hotels are growing in the Scout area so that customers will have more options to choose from. This would also make a healthy competition among all others (new or old) which could help improve their services better.
Mike and I were both curious to check it out and we finally did just this year during Valentine's Day.
B Hotel is owned by the Bellevue Hotel Group so I'm sure we were in good hands (Read Bellevue Resort Bohol). B Hotel is a boutique hotel that is chic, modern with industrial interiors and is more affordable than the high-end Bellevue Hotels. B Hotel's first branch is in Alabang and this one in QC is their second.
B Hotel Quezon City is one of the newest hotels around Quezon City which opened last year. It is situated along the growing food district of Scout Rallos which was relatively near our place in Scout Borromeo. We booked via Booking.com for a really affordable fee of 3,600 ++ per night inclusive of buffet breakfast for two (really cheap!)

Lobby
We parked our car at the basement parking and proceeded to their lobby. A hip and modern ambience of the lobby welcomed us. The industrial & stylish interiors has a combination of wood and concrete finish with neutral colors of grey & brown. We love the rough raw look it emanates. Bicycles were also displayed around the area which added contrast to their raw design.

Superior Room
Our room was located at the 9th floor. It stayed true to its industrial theme - concrete, unfinished cement walls, wooden flooring, neutral colored interiors with red accents and of course a bicycle artwork. It has an extra large double bed, toilet and bath and almost complete amenities, why almost complete? Read on.

Toilet & Bath
The toilet & bath were also stylish and unique. Unique because the lavatory is separated from the bathroom and the bathroom wall is transparent. Yes, transparent! But you have the option to bring down the roll up curtain for the privacy you need.

Facilities
A small rectangular pool at the third floor, a tiny gym at the fifth floor, two function areas and their newest facility is a salon and not just any other salon, a Jing Monis Salon. I wasn't able to try any of their facilities but I'd like to visit the salon soon.

Dining
The hotel has three dining areas - Pastry Corner, Mezzanine and Lobby Cafe. We tried dining in all of their restaurants.
Mezzanine
Located at the second floor is their main dining area where they serve lunch and dinner dishes. This was where we also had our Valentines dinner. Our experience in the Mezzanine, may I say, was unpleasant.

Vday #ootds |
B Hotel had a Valentine special treat that time, a full course romantic dinner at the Lobby Cafe while an up and coming artist, Clara Benin serenaded the guests. We already had plans to celebrate valentine's at Luljetta's in Antipolo the next day so we settled for dinner at their mezzanine instead.

We wanted a pasta and pizza combo so we ordered Quattro Formaggio Pizza and Spicy Tuyo Aglio Olio. When our orders came we were puzzled when they served the Aglio Olio WITHOUT pasta. When we asked about it, the waitstaff handed us the menu just to confirm that the dish is not a pasta dish! It was our first encounter of an aglio olio that is not pasta! Even Google proved so (go check yourself, search Spicy Tuyo Aglio Olio or just Aglio Olio). And because we were disappointed (it was really pricey too) we told them we will change our orders, but then the waitstaff refused, take note - REFUSED the idea because he will have to pay for the dish daw. Irritated, I told him that I wanted to talk to the manager. The manager apologized and we settled with putting pasta on the dish- oh well, at least we had our pasta dish. We just hope that they explained to their customers that their Aglio Olio is not pasta because anyone who will order it will surely expect it is a pasta dish.

Really? How do we eat this?

This looked better. But the amount of pasta just wasn't enough to save the dish.

Pastry Corner
Located at the lobby is their pastry corner where they serve different desserts, pastries and drinks. After our dinner at the mezzanine, we ordered a chocolate cake for dessert while we listened to Clara's singing. Btw that girl was amazing! I love her rendition of Coldplay's Yellow.

Lobby Cafe
The lobby cafe was the biggest area among the three. Located just beside the Pastry Corner where they hold special events like VDay and daily breakfast feast.

We had a terrific stay at B Hotel! I would recommend staying here if you're in QC area. The rate is really affordable for a clean & spacious room plus they have a wide breakfast offering. But if you are to book here, I suggest you take your lunch or dinner some other place in QC. Around the hotel are a lot of restaurants; the street itself is a growing food district. And when I say a lot, I meant A LOT!
