Staycation at Azumi Boutique Hotel Alabang

Overnight stay with college friends at Azumi Boutique Hotel Alabang.

Staying at a boutique hotel with an infinity pool was the perfect way to spend the weekend with my college friends.

I am originally a south girl - I grew up in Muntinlupa, most of my high school and college friends live in the south - Las Pinas, Paranaque, Cavite, Laguna. So obviously it's a bit challenging to meet with them since I am currently living in the north - Quezon City. But when my closest college friend, Joycen announced that she'll be staying for a couple of days in Manila (she now lives in Taiwan), the gang made sure that we bond. And because it would be hard for me to travel back and forth in one night (considering the traffic scenario in Manila) I lured them into having an overnight stay at one of the hippest hotels in the south instead.

Azumi Boutique Hotel is a one year old boutique hotel located in the growing business district of Alabang Muntinlupa. The stylish and modern themed hotel gives their customers a unique and relaxing experience.

I've already stayed here once last year for work but I never got to maximize my stay due to time constraints. Because my stay was a bit bitin, I decided to return here for that ultimate quick get together/mini reunion.

Second time here

Lobby
A stylish lobby welcomed us friday night when we checked in. An array of travel landmark photos and decorations filled the monotone walls. The chic interior pieces made the lobby more hip and inviting.

King Room | P3658.59 ++ (plus vat, service charge and other fees) room only, breakfast  not included
There is a total of 186 rooms in this hotel. Earth tone with a distinct pop of orange is the theme on all the rooms; the whole design is minimalistic which I love. We stayed in a King Room which is located at the 11th floor, it's the biggest of all but unfortunately it's the only room without a couch. I read that the 5th floor rooms are the best among all because of the large veranda it offers.

Amenities

Kitchenette
A unique feature of this hotel is their mini kitchen that has a 5 feet refrigerator (standard hotels only provide a mini ref) and a microwave perfect for heating up your food.

The toilet & bath is spacious & minimal with basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste. It has a bidet so plus points!

College Friends Mini Reunion
The important thing was the endless chikahan so we just paired it with a simple bottle of white wine which I bought in advance. We drank the night away while reminiscing the old times and updating each other's whereabouts love lives not to mention other people's love lives as well- hehehe

The housekeeping was very prompt will all our requests and believe me there were a lot! Like the aircon adjustment, additional towels, wine bottle opener and these wine glasses we requested.

Good morning! We fit, good thing I have skinny friends :)

Breakfast Buffet at Romulo's
One of my most sought after activities was to have breakfast at Romulo's Cafe. Romulo's Cafe is a well known dining place in Quezon City (near my place) so I know Romulo's reputation as an acclaimed authentic Filipino restaurant. Indeed their breakfast was filling. The P350 per head breakfast fee was super sulit!

Infinity Lap Pool
Azumi's unique selling point among all the other hotels in Alabang is their salt water infinity lap pool. Oftentimes, it is said to be Manila's version of Marina Bay Sands' infinity pool because of the long rectangular shape and the view it offers. Of course MBS is incomparable but Azumi's lap pool definitely didn't disappoint.

At Night
We arrived late so we weren't able to try the pool at night but would love to swim here while gazing at the illumination of Alabang skyscraper.

My friends and I made it a point to wake up really early to catch the sunrise and dragging ourselves in the morning was definitely worth the puyat. The view was breathtaking!

Capping off the day with a flatlay
It was definitely a fun & meaningful experience with the gang. Azumi Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to spend an overnight stay with the college besties. The room was spacious, breakfast was absolutely satisfying, the staff was extra courteous and the lap pool was the highlight of our stay. Two thumbs up for Azumi!
