Creative Lock in at Thunderbird Resort Rizal.
It was a two-day sunny retreat at Thunderbird Resorts Rizal where this bunch had a creative lock-in for my current show, Your Face Sounds Familiar. We got a lot of positive feedback from the viewers and it was just right to treat ourselves to an 'out-of-town' productive escapade.

The team consists of producers, creative team and production staff left Quezon City at around 9 in the morning wearing neon- our outfit theme for the day (Yes! We have a theme especially every taping) We traveled via bus courtesy of our generous writer, Erik (which by the way owns numerous buses and a school lang naman). After almost two hours of countless videoke songs belted out inside the bus (Yes! There is a videoke inside Erik's bus) we were swiftly transported to our destination.

The vibe of Thunderbird Resort Rizal is very much relaxing- I suddenly wished I was in a vacation and hoped that Mike was with me (hehehe) but no I constantly had to keep in mind that we went here for work so after the warm greetings from the reception staff, they handed our room keys to settle to our designated rooms and relax a bit while they prepared our lunch.

Room
The resort has two types of rooms- Deluxe Room and Rizal Suite. We all stayed in a Deluxe Room and my room sadly is located at the back part of the resort. The best ones are at the front area where you can get a scenic view of Laguna de Bay and Manila Skyline.

The 45-square meter room has two queen sized/double beds, LCD cable TV, aircon, WiFi access, phone system, in-room safety box, minibar, refrigerator and coffee and tea making facility.

The food was indeed great and filling, it was a generous lunch perfect way to start the lock in.

Truly it was a productive escape for the group, we weren't actually even done yet but then we realized it was already 10pm so we had to resume the next day and call it a night.

Breakfast at Olives Restaurant
Breakfast is included every time you book a room. The breakfast is served at the Olives Restuarant, it is a Tuscan-themed restaurant offering Italian-inspired dishes and great wine options. Their signature dish is the brick oven-baked ultra thin-crust pizza.

Pool & Other Facilities
The pool was quite inviting. It gives a view of the Manila skyline perfect for that ultimate relaxation.

Other facilities include spa, event center, outdoor activities such as paintball, bicycle, volleyball and archery. I wanted to try archery but we were already pressed for time :(

The overall experience was a relief, we had a successful summit in a very relaxing ambiance. It's true that sometimes you need to get out of your box to be able to create something wonderful. It is also true that you should have a solid team to be able to produce an excellent show. This became a venue for the team to get to know each other in a deeper level. Honestly our stay here was very bitin but nonetheless we enjoyed every bit of it and we promise you to give the best finale of Your Face Sounds Familiar. :)

PS: I would also like to commend the staff who returned my charger that I left in our room. I had it picked up by a courier and they were the ones who paid for the delivery fee. It was really nice of them to prioritize the welfare of their customers. Thank you so much, Pamela!

Rackham sent Shades and Comanche to test Lucas' strength by attacking him in the middle of the night with knives. While Comanche covered Lucas' face with a bag, Shades hit him repeatedly in the chest until Lucas was able to recover his senses and threw Shades against a wall, at which point Comanche drew his knife.
