Cocktails and Food at Eighteen Bistro.


Do you ever have a hangout place that's not your home but staying there feels as if it's yours? Like a good friend's place where you can spend the whole night just catching up with your closest buds while you drink and eat. Well this new restaurant along Rallos in Tomas Morato QC feels that way with a good selection of cocktails and excellent food.

I am not a food blogger but I do write about restaurants for two reasons - 1. If it became a favorite of mine or ChaMike's and 2. If I highly believe in its potential. For Eighteen Bistro, I have both reasons to write about. A very good friend of Mike and eventually became my good friend opened a cozy restaurant called Eighteen Bistro and because it is just near ABS-CBN we hangout here ever so often.

Marj - a pastry chef, her boyfriend, JP - a bartender and her brother, Chef Boj make an awesome culinary- restaurateur combo by coming up with this restaurant.

Eighteen Bistro is an intimate restaurant which is located along the growing food street of Rallos. They serve honest to goodness food and handcrafted classic and signature drinks.

The place has a comfortable vibe and warm ambiance perfect for chill night outs with friends and family. But aside from the place it's the food & drinks that keeps us coming back.

Slow roasted Pumpkin, served with Fresh Cream, Bacon & Toasted Baguette.
A friend of mine ordered it and she absolutely loved every sip of this creamy and delicious soup.

Spaghetti finished with Portobello Mushrooms & Cayenne Pepper Cream Cheese.
Another friend was totally satisfied with this al dente pasta dish. Even I couldn't help taking bites from her plate.

Baked fillet of Chicken in Tomato Stew & Mozzarella, served with Mushroom Rice Pilaf.
Not really a fan of chicken fillet dishes but this one gave a new meaning to Chicken Parmigiana. The generous mozzarella toppings is to die for. YUM!

A fillets of Spada served with creamy Lemon Butter Emulsion, Potato Terrine & Basil Oil.
The avant garde dish looks intimidating but when you get to taste the fish together with the potato you'll be surprised that the two can be a perfect match.

Beef Bourguignon | P320
Slow Braised Beef in Red Wine, served with Potato Terrine.
The first thing I remember in this creamy beef dish is how tender the beef was. Every bite melts in your mouth!

French Vanilla Ice Cream with Butterscotch Sauce and Candied Walnuts.
Marj is Mike's favorite pastry chef so undoubtedly, this dessert was a winner. The surprise is when you get to dig inside the candied walnuts where the melting vanilla ice cream makes a sensational finale.

What I also love about this restaurant is that they are welcome to do special favors (if time and resources permit). Like in one instance when we had a farewell party for a friend and Marj whipped up something in an instant.

Aside from the food another thing that we love about Eighteen Bistro is their selection of classic and signature drinks. JP who's the expert in this field mixes a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. Amaretto Sour and Frozen Sunset are my personal favorites while Mike loves their Mojito. But I suggest to try all especially if they have an on going promo.

Regular customers are constantly raving about their P18 Cocktail - On the 18th hour of everyday (6pm), every time you order a dish all guests can indulge in their Cocktail of the Day for only Eighteen Pesos until 9pm! And every 18th of the month they prepare a 3-day Eighteen Peso Cocktail from 6pm onwards provided that you dine with them. This totally makes a good ChaMike monthsary celebration as 18 is ChaMike's day! An amazing coincidence- hehehe.

    Yum! The food looks so yummy. That “Deep Fried Ice Cream” is just superb. We are going to visit SF and would like to taste yummy cuisines at the best food venues in San Francisco. If you have any recommendations then please provide!
