I love souvenir shopping (who doesn't?!) It gives me an overview of the country's culture, tradition and history. Just a few kilometers away from Ubud Monkey Forest lies a famous art market. So after visiting those little rascals we went for some Bali shopping at Ubud Art Market.
Ubud Art Market is a traditional souvenir hub that sells local art crafts. A one long pedestrian street full of colorful Balinese trinkets from clothes, ceramics, paintings, incense, soaps to contemporary handicrafts.
Ubud Art Market is open from 8 am some of the shops are open as early as 6 am and closed at night time.

Balinese art is colorful, vibrant and bold so the market is a feast to the eyes for its variety of Balinese art work.

I bought myself a colorful Balinese bag & batik harem pants. For pasalubong I bought all sorts of Bali soaps. Like for most markets, haggling is a MUST so don't forget to ask for a discount. For serious shoppers, I recommend you at least an hour to roam around. Our family was in a hurry so we could catch the sunset at Uluwatu Temple thus the reason why we had very minimal time look for more souvenirs.
