Mike's Gone Girl Birthday Gimmick at Dusit Thani Hotel

It
has only been just four great years of preparing something for Mike's
special day and I felt that I'd exhausted all my ideas for a new and
meaningful birthday celebration. And because I just came from Beijing,
going out of the country was way too expensive and impractical. So after
a few days of contemplation I decided to give him something I've
never done before. Since we recently watch David Fincher's
masterpiece, Gone Girl and he constantly calls me Amazing Cham I thought of giving him a Gone Girl birthday gimmick.
So how does it work? On the day of the supposedly 'lunch date' I suddenly disappear and Mike can't contact me [very Gone Girl] so for him to be able to look for me he has to solve numerous clues. I created riddled clues and put them all in a separate envelope. Each clue leads to another clue and it goes on and on and on until he finally finds me.

I asked the help of Mike's mom, my mom and hotel receptionist. So of course I needed a venue where I can hide right? So this venue is at Dusit Thani Hotel.
Dusit Thani Hotel is a Thai style 5-star hotel in Makati which is a stone's throw away from one of the largest shopping districts in Manila. I chose to stay here because ChaMike's new fave hangout place is in Makati - SM Ayala, Glorietta, Greenbelt which has a wide selection of stores such as Forever 21, Uniqlo, SM Department Store and new fave stores like H&M and of course NBA Store.

All guests will be given a welcome drink and because I was early (I was not allowed to check in yet) I ordered a pineapple drink to kill time.

So after waiting for a few minutes, I was finally able to go inside our Deluxe Room.

The 30 sq meter room also has a Thai flair in it. There is a king sized bed, study table and chair, sofa with coffee table and flat screen TV (take note that the TV has no flash drive connector)

Other Amenities
Mini refrigerator, mini bar, complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea making facility, closet with bathrobe and slippers, flat iron and iron board, safety deposit box and an umbrella.

The toilet has a bathtub! I don't know why but hotel rooms with bathtubs excite me (even though I rarely use it!) but the downside? No bidet! :(

It has all the toilettes you need- bar soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, cotton buds, shower cap, comb, toothpaste and toothbrush. Note: The hair dryer is located at the drawer of the study desk.

Other facilities include 12 conference and banquet rooms, florist, gift shop, souvenir shop, medical and dental service, 8 dining and entertainment venue and Dusit Gourmet.
So after so many clues, Mike finally found Gone Girl Cham! :)

We had a refreshing stay at Dusit Thani. The location is perfect, the breakfast buffet has tons of options, amenities are almost complete. The downside? I had a difficulty endorsing the 'clue' to the receptionist. They were not keen to details which led to confusion because they forgot to give Mike the room key of the hotel.
