If you are going to Bali via Cebu Pacific expect your first day to be very tiring since its only flight is scheduled at 4:00 am (arrival is at 8:00 am). Believe me, my sister, her husband, mama, papa and kuya [who arrived there a week earlier] slept the whole day on their first day because of lack of sleep. But since Mike and I wanted to maximize our stay in Bali (we only had 3 full days for this trip) we decided to go on a tour on our first day and visiting the Besakih Temple was our first agenda. Wonder why?
Walk with Cham in Bali Indonesia
Bali… one of the ultimate tropical destinations in Asia. A blend of notable beaches, lush rice paddies, iconic Hindu temples and hungry [scary] monkeys. Visited this place during my sister and her husband's honeymoon/ Mama's 60th birthday celebration on a rainy season. This was the first out-of-the-country trip after three years that we were complete as a family! So if you only have three days to spare, here are the list of things we did in Bali that you might want to do.

Welcome to my humble abode! Hihihi. This is Aurora Villa! Our home during our Bali stay <3 Pretty neat huh?! I was actually in disbelief at first because in the history of my travels abroad this was the very first time that I was able to stay in one big house of four bedrooms complete with amenities- living room, dining room, kitchen, garden & pool.
Walk with Cham in Bali Indonesia
I had already walked to three cities/provinces in Indonesia - Batam, Jakarta and Bali. And among the three I was very much fascinated with BALI. Bali for me is like Boracay of the Philippines and Phuket of Thailand (I haven't been to those places though-hehehe) I'm not really fond of beaches but Bali has this certain charm that sets it apart from other Indonesian cities. I guess one reason is because of the rustic atmosphere it emanates - the fresh air, the rural lifestyle and close-to-nature experience. Another thing would be their rich history, culture and beliefs- renowned diverse sophisticated art forms and performing arts thus the reason why Bali is the largest tourist destination in the country.
To tell you honestly Bali is not really on my list of places-to-go, my friend had a dreadful experience going to Bali years ago where they were accused as drug traffickers they almost got arrested! Fortunately they came out alive. Hearing her horrible story I swore I will never go to Bali ever! But a few years after, Bali seemed lenient as some of my friends travelled there without getting an arrest warrant so I figured maybe it's different now. Bali seemed safe. Then an invitation came when my sister planned to surprise mama for her 60th birthday - a trip to Bali on their honeymoon. with the rest of the family. accommodation included. who can say no?!
So if you are planning to go to Bali here are some of the things you might want to consider.

The Publisher's Wedding at Acuatico Beach Resort

The Publisher's Wedding |
Oh I looooove weddings!!! Well obviously I do since I recently produced a TV show which had a wedding at the end. But not just that, I always get teary-eyed when the bride gets her walking-down-the-aisle moment especially when the bride herself gets teary-eyed too! And aside from the walk it also excites me to hear the personal vows made by the couple (Yes! I'm cheesy like that.) But this particular wedding is far more different from the rest. Well of course because it is the wedding of my only sister, Georgina, who is now based in Las Vegas with his husband, Erich. And secondly it is my first time to attend a beach wedding (all weddings I've attended so far were Catholic ones) and lastly [but definitely not the leasty] I was assigned to be Georgina's maid of honor and last minute wedding coordinator!!! (since her wedding coordinator got sick the day before her wedding!) Good thing I've experienced putting up a wedding on TV so more or less I did have an idea how it works.

Acuatico Beach Resort |
Georgina, my sister finally made her dream come true of getting married in a beach. So after all her research and planning, she decided to celebrate this milestone at Acuatico Beach Resort in Batangas Philippines. So a week before the wedding the 'It Couple' flew to Manila to get hitch'd (the second time).
The very busy 2015
The start of 2015 has been very busy for me and my family. So busy that I couldn't even catch up on my blogging! Events after events followed by another series of events which literally made me so [happily] exhausted. In a span of less than one month here were the series of my January 2015 calendar:
1. New year celebration- reunion with relatives in Subic
2. Mama's hospital episode- Appendicitis daw then we discovered her appendix had already been removed decades ago! Do. not. even. ask.
3. The Publisher's Wedding- Gin and Erich's (my sister & brother-in-law) renewal of vows (sort of their second wedding- Philippine Edition) which I became their last minute wedding coordinator a day before the ACTUAL WEDDING.
4. New show- the day after the wedding I was asked to report back to work for a new show which is set to air soon (ugh)
5. Happy Sweet Sixty Luvy- The super rushed 60th birthday surprise party for my Mama (events planning & styling- the works) and finally…
6. The much awaited Bali trip- Birthday present for Mama with the whole fambam (Mama, Papa, Kuya, Gin, Erich, Cham and Mike plus 2 of Gin's closest friends)
Whew. Writing it down made me frantic again!
But then again it was also a relief that this time I was busy not because of work but because of spending time with the people I love. <3
And before I embark on a new set of 2015 travel posts I want to claim that 2015 is a better, brighter, BUSIER (in a good way), richer (hehe) and more improved Cham! I started writing down the places I want to see this year (but haven't booked any of it yet because of my erratic work schedule) but yes! I am praying for new milestones and more walking adventures this year! Let's all claim this to the Lord Almighty, because we all deserve the best that this life can offer! Right? #youonlyliveonce #onelifetolive

ChaMike's Sunday Brunch at Midas Hotel & Casino

ChaMike Brunching at Midas Cafe |
I'm an absolute Midas Hotel & Casino fan! I've been here a couple of times already but I never get tired of coming back (my previous posts prove it so). Their accommodation, ambiance, service and food are over-the-top, I always feel the warmth of home but with a certain class so for the year 2015 I start my post by introducing another pleasurable treat from Midas Cafe, their Sunday Brunch.
