Glamp with Cham at Nurture Wellness Village Tagaytay.

The third and last day of our glamping getaway began with an early morning routine. It was indeed hard waking up at 6am when you slept really late the night before (Read Glamping by Lifestyle TV Day 2) but because I have this #FOMO attitude I conquered my laziness and woke up 30 minutes before the actual session.
Glamp with Cham at Nurture Wellness Village Tagaytay.
Good Morning, Nature!
Despite the strong rain that night and the fact that I was all alone in my tent it was quite surprising that I had a very good sleep, I guess I'm meant to be at the outdoors. I woke up early and breathed the fresh air deeply. I love waking up being one with nature and Tagaytay was the ideal venue for that chilly vibe. I began loving glamping since yesterday and Glamping by Lifestyle: Pitch 2 was a perfect long weekend break I needed.

Glamp with Cham at Nurture Wellness Village Tagaytay.
I've been so busy with work these past few days that I can hear my mind and body begging for rest. So when my friend, Jeng invited me to a 3-day glamping event in Tagaytay for the long weekend I immediately said yes. I set aside work and gave myself a break. Yep. I so needed this.
It was my first time to try glamping so I was all the more giddy. But what is this glamping anyway?
Archery with ChaMike.
Looking for a new hobby? Why don't you try archery. Mike and I constantly search for new things to try and while I was browsing for deals on metrodeal.com I came across an archery class promo at Archery Academy and decided to avail a 1-hour archery class for P275 each. We bought 2 vouchers months ago but it was just this month that we decided to finally use it.
Walk with ChaMike in Singapore for 4 Days.
This trip is a birthday treat to myself, it was my first time to celebrate my birthday in a different country. I've been wanting to do this but there was no opportunity before (yes, work ALWAYS gets in the way) So why Singapore? I chose Singapore for several reasons like the no-visa policy for Philippine passport holders, relatively cheaper fare even in a non-promo flight as compared to others and of course the Singapore attractions that haven't existed yet the last time I was here. So if you've been wanting to go to this sunny cosmopolitan and clean country here's a rundown of our 4-day itinerary.
Eat with ChaMike at Celebrity Chefs' Restaurants in Singapore.
Singapore being a cosmopolitan country has many known restaurants owned by renowned chefs. Restauranteurs from different parts of the world consider Singapore as a hotspot when it comes to high-end and meticulous dining. When I read that Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay have restaurants in SG I excitedly put these on our itinerary. I told Mike that it's a must to get to dine at their restaurants. I've known the two British chefs through cooking shows I watched on cable, they're so popular even Mike knows them too.
Walk with ChaMike at LEGOLAND Malaysia.

After our stressful and hot experience at Universal Studios Singapore, Mike and I thought of canceling our LEGOLAND trip the next day, we were quite afraid that because it was a Sunday, it will also be as jam-packed as it was in USS. But because we didn't have any plans of going back to Singapore or even Malaysia anytime soon we figured we'd give Legoland a try.
Walk with ChaMike in UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE.

In all honesty, I am not a fan of theme parks. I'd rather visit cultural, historical and natural sites that would fill my hunger for new discoveries rather than go to an amusement park that has basically the same atmosphere as all the other parks. But of course there is always an exception. If I remember correctly, this was just the third theme park I visited (HK Disneyland & HK Ocean Park would be the first two and fourth would be Legoland Malaysia) so yes I've never been to Universal Studios before and this was the first time Mike and I visited a theme park together, exciting? Not really, here's why…
#Wefie with ChaMike at #Selfie Coffee.
The word #selfie has been quite popular with almost everyone nowadays. The height of technology and social media made it a household name and is now even accepted as a legit word in the dictionary (yes, you'll see the word selfie in Merriam Webster's).
Walk and Eat with ChaMike in Bugis Street, Haji Lane and Arab Quarter.
On ChaMike's last day, we opted to visit the 'hippiest' areas in Singapore. I've been hearing a lot of good shops in Haji Lane and Arab Quarter which are just in the same vicinity so early in the morning before we went to the airport we headed straight to Bugis MRT.
Walk with ChaMike in Little India.
Fastest way to travel from China to India? Go to Singapore and experience the diversity of culture with just a few MRT stops away. After Mike and I visited Chinatown, we went to another ethnic community with just two MRT stops.
Walk with ChaMike at Chinatown Singapore.
For souvenir shopping, sightseeing and hawker eating, Chinatown maybe your best option in Singapore.
Walk with ChaMike around Merlion Park, Esplanade & Marina Bay Sands.
The most iconic landmarks of Singapore can be seen along the waterfront of Singapore river- Merlion, Esplanade and Marina Bay Sands. These attractions are the most well-known in Singapore and can be visited just by walking around. Mike and I started the walk at around 5pm from Merlion Park then straight to Esplanade passed by Helix Bridge then ended it at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands where we had our dinner.
Look! It's a bird… It's a plane… No, it's Superman!… And other superheroes!… in one cafe!!!
Here they come to save the daaaaaaay! Mike and I were definitely saved as we were just right in time for DC Comics Superheroes Cafe's opening. The Justice League arrived on the 2nd of September (my birthday) so on our very first day in Singapore, September 4, Superheroes Cafe was a must in our itinerary. A "super" perfect SG birthday gift.
Walk with ChaMike in Singapore.
Singapore was not at all new to me, I've been here years ago. Even before the actual existence of Universal Studios, Gardens By The Bay and Marina Bay Sands. It was the year 2009 when I went here with my parents, the short 3-day visit made me realized I needed to come back. So after 6 years I was given a chance to finally return to the Lion City, just in time for the Golden Jubilee Celebration.
Revisiting Singapore was my birthday gift to myself. I became really excited about this trip even more when Mike and I learned that Singapore is celebrating its 50 years of independence, definitely there's no better time to rediscover the amazing delights SG has to offer.
Singapore is indeed one of the most developed countries in the world. Being a progressive country has its perks for tourists like an excellent transport system that makes getting around easy, the never ending list of shopping malls & hotels, family-friendly attractions, modern cityscapes & gardens and low-crime rate making it one of the safest countries on earth. Aside from that Singapore also shares a rich history and diverse culture perfect for tourists looking for awesome cultural finds & delicious local cuisines.
So here I'm sharing with you the list of things ChaMike did around Singapore for 4 days.
Walk with ChaMike in Singapore | Singapore MRT.
Traveling abroad via public transportation is always an adventure for us since the railway services are just more efficient than those in the Philippines. In Singapore, we often used MRTs because they're cost efficient than taking a cab and its more user-friendly than riding a bus.
Walk with ChaMike at Innotel Hotel.
Among the many hotel options in Singapore I chose Innotel Hotel for several reasons including its location. Innotel Hotel is a boutique business hotel located along the belt of Orchard Road in the heart of the city. This hotel is a 4-minute walk from Plaza Singapura, Dhoby Ghaut Bus Station and Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station services 3 main MRT lines so it's convenient especially if you use the train often. If you've been reading my blog, you know that a hotel's location is very important for me when traveling. It should be close to any transport hubs thus the reason why Innotel Hotel fits perfectly to our preference. It's also relatively cheap as compared to other hotels with prime locations in Singapore.
Walk with ChaMike in Singapore.
It wasn't my first time to visit Singapore. I've been here once with my parents in 2009. That time Universal Studios and even Marina Bay Sands haven't existed yet. So for my birthday this year, in time for SG's 50th year I requested Mike to bring me to this Little Red Dot country and of course he gladly obliged.
Walk with ChaMike at Yexel's Museum.
It was one of those weekends when Mike and I decided to visit Yexel's Toy Museum in Manila Ocean Park and it was probably one of the most disappointing places we've been to.
July 18, 2011 - I can still vividly remember myself gushing over the sight of Aubergine's facade while Mike held my hand and led me to this restaurant's doorstep. It was our first ever monthsary and one of Mike's first surprises. I honestly never thought Mike would ever bring me to this restaurant (well, I kinda hoped a little) but I mean not on our first monthsary! He got the idea during one of those 'getting-to-know-you talks' where he asked me what my dream restaurant was and without batting an eyelash I told him about my fascination over Aubergine, that I longed to dine there and to get to taste their famous foie gras. Well that wish of mine was granted not just once but twice. Yes, I am absolutely blessed.
For Mike and I's 4th anniversary aside from the three-day trip to Albay, I surprised Mike (again) on our actual anniversary with another intimate romantic dinner, this time it's just within Mike's turf- in Katipunan.
#ChaMike4Ever in ALBAY
Mike and I had a FUN-tastic time in Albay. We decided to only spend 3 days (2 1/2 to be exact) because we both had work and we couldn't afford to take a longer leave. For me, the three-day Albay vacation was just enough to experience its famous sights and offerings. If you're an adventure seeker, nature lover, beach bum and want to have a romantic moment with your partner here's a quick rundown of what ChaMike did during those days.

Goodbye Misibis Bay, goodbye Mt Mayon, goodbye Albay |
The last day was spent exploring the resort and appreciating nature. In the afternoon we transferred to Legazpi Airport. Good bye Albay!
09:00 am - 10:00 am Breakfast at Spice Restaurant Misibis Bay
10:00 am - 11:00 am Exploring the resort
12:00 nn Check out | Transfer from Misibis Bay to Legazpi Airport
02:30 pm Flight from Legazpi to Manila
3-day Albay Expense
I have to admit we kind of splurged a bit for this trip. We opted to spend more than what we used to when we travel like booking a regular flight rather than a seat sale, renting a private vehicle rather than using a public transportation and setting up a romantic dinner for two rather than a simple dinner at the restaurant. So you will notice below that our trip to Albay was a bit expensive. You can opt to save more than what I did though sometimes spending more can make your trip worthwhile, convenient and more memorable.

#ChaMike4Ever Romantic Dinner Date
Once in a while, it would be really nice to have an intimate and romantic date with your partner especially if it's an anniversary you're celebrating. For ChaMike's fourth year, aside from the numerous activities we tried, I surprised Mike with a beach-front romantic dinner set-up in Misibis Bay.
#ChaMike4Ever's Water Sports Activities.
ChaMike loves to try everything for the first time. The day before we already experienced riding an ATV to Mt Mayon. This time, in Misibis Bay we tried two new activities.
#ChaMike4Ever at the Eco Park Misibis Bay
One of the main attractions of Misibis Bay is their Eco Park Tour. For only P150 per person a van will drive you around Cagraray Eco Park. Upon check-in, we informed the reception staff that we will avail of the tour (they need advanced booking for that), the staff gave us options of the available time of the van that will pick us up.
#ChaMike4Ever at Garden View Room Misibis Bay
ChaMike's fourth year anniversary was celebrated in Albay for three days, half of it was spent in the luxurious resort that is Misibis Bay (the first half was spent in The Oriental Hotel Legazpi)
#ChaMike4Ever in Misibis Bay.
Celebrating our anniversary entails us of going somewhere in the Philippines we've never been to. Good thing dealgrocer.com had an offer of a two day one night stay at a Garden View Room for two with airport transfers and breakfast buffet for a fee of P9,300++
Misibis Bay is a luxurious 5 hectare resort in Bacacay Albay. It hosted numerous celebrities from the local and hollywood scene including my crush, Zac Efron who visited the Philippines three years ago to promote a clothing brand.
After our stay at Oriental Hotel Legazpi, we were picked up by a Misibis Bay van (we asked them to pick us up at the hotel instead of the airport). For around one hour travel time we where then transported to paradise.

The moment we stepped on the tropical resort a staff handed us wet towelettes and offered to take our photo at the Misibis Bay signage.

We were then escorted to the reception area for check in. We were also given juice for refreshment while waiting for our room.

Welcome drinks |
At the reception we asked for other recreational activities such as the eco tour & water sports activities (the eco tour should be booked in advanced). They also asked us to deposit a fee of 2,500 (this fee became quite a hassle for me later on)
Here are the list of things ChaMike did during our 2 day 1 night stay in Misibis Bay.
From the reception, a four-wheel kart transferred us to our room. We stayed at their cheapest room offering- Garden View Room. The room has complete amenities but a bit far from the beach.

Garden View Room |
Going to the restaurant/reception area, it was about 7 minute walk from our room. If you're too tired to walk you can always call the reception to ask for a kart (but don't expect them to be at your doorstep in an instant).

Nice outdoor lounge |
Spice Restaurant is just near the entrance of the resort. It's an all day dining area that serves local Bicolano and other international cuisine. While waiting for our late lunch, to my surprise Chef Ryan Barlis was there. A schoolmate back in high school, became the head chef of Press Cafe and now a restaurant chef and consultant around the Philippines. I was completely shocked to see him in Misibis Bay (it's a small world indeed!). He was here to give the customers of the resort a better dining experience. Because of him, I knew we were in good hands.
We ordered Fried Chicken with Potato Wedges on the side, Melon Shake and Blueberry Cheesecake. Truly the food didn't disappoint. The chicken was good and crispy and the serving was ample. The melon shake was so flavorful and refreshing, perfect for a hot weather. Of course nothing can go wrong with a blueberry cheesecake, a sweet ending to our lunch.

A few meters from the actual resort lies an Eco Park that has several attractions such as the amphitheater, chapel and hanging bridge. With a fee of P150 per person a van will take you around the area.

It was a hot afternoon stroll at Eco Park so both of us were dying to take a dip at the beach…
Swim at the beach and pool
The weather was sunny and clear that day, perfect for swimming and because it was already June there were very few people at the resort. We had the whole beach all to ourselves.

We really appreciated the serenity of the beach, a perfect time to fully relax and enjoy. Although do not expect too much from the sand. Yes it's powdery but not as pristine as the other beaches in the Philippines.

Engage in water sports activities
Mike and I are fond of doing something for the first time so we tried several water sports activities they offer, for only P750 you can do all the non motorized activities such as stand-up paddle, kayaking, snorkeling and the very challenging windsurf.

The struggle is real |
We ended the day by enjoying the serene beachfront then later decided to go back to our room to prepare for a 'surprise' dinner date I planned for Mike.
Celebrate Anniversary
One of our most memorable nights. A by-the-beach romantic dinner set up with a butler on the side. A perfect way to celebrate an anniversary or any romantic date for you and your partner.
The next day, we had our breakfast at Spice Restaurant. They have plenty of offerings, we both filled our tummies with great breakfast food. Ah, we love breakfast buffets!
After breakfast I roamed around the resort while Mike decided to rest in our room

Misibis Bay also offers indoor activities like billiards, videoke, table tennis, cheese. They also have a gym area for your fitness needs.

The sunset cruise operates daily, for P650 per head, a small boat will take you to a perfect sunset spot.
***At 12:00nn we were already ready for check out. A van transferred us to Legazpi Airport. And when I thought everything was perfect. I realized they never gave me the deposit of P2,500. Hurriedly I called their hotline and they promised to deposit it to my bank account the next day. After all the follow ups, rants, unanswered messages they where able to send me the deposit after three loooong weeks. It was so much hassle on my part, being the customer of a luxurious resort they shouldn't kept their customers waiting (they shouldn't have forgotten to return the deposit in the first place). They told me many times that they will call after they deposited the money but as of this writing they never had the decency to call or even text. I just found out and assumed when I checked my ATM balance. Unfortunately because of this incident, my drastic encounter overshadowed the almost perfect experience in Misibis Bay.
