ChaMike's Day Tour in Bali... Philippines!

Bali? Think again...

Cintai by Coritos Garden is a Balinese inspired paradise that can be found in the quiet town of Batangas.

I came across Cintai while browsing through a friend's Instagram photos and I instantly fell in love with the place. Thus before summer ends I convinced Mike to have a day tour on a weekend. So after driving for 2 hours we were finally at our destination.

This large signage greeted us

After paying P1,650 per person a staff directed us to the area for day tour guests but we didn't swim yet as we wanted to roam around.

Hello there Mr. Gargoyle!

The moment we stepped in the resort we felt as if we were in Bali Indonesia. We were indulge with luscious vegetation and niche. The ambiance, furniture and architechture of the resort is so Balinese like these drop off point area.

Function Rooms
Cintai has numerous function rooms depending on the guests' needs.

Napas Pavilion is the newest addition to Cintai. It is open air and perfect for garden weddings. This pavilion is surrounded by hand carved walls and accents. They also have occasional yoga and meditation sessions in this wonderful open space.

Napas Pavilion

Pavilion Tresna is the biggest event area offered in the garden. It is an elegant and spacious ballroom with metallic black flooring, authentic sandstone “Gebyok” doors (traditional Javanese-carved teak wood doors), intricate lattice works and an amazing set of authentic “Joglo” ceilings complimented by 2 magnificent chandeliers. The ceiling artistry is unique and timeless because of everything is hand-carved. To top if all off, it is surrounded with hand-carved massive wall designs.

When we went there, a company was having a team building event so this area was occupied.

Pavilion Tresna

Near the Pavilion Tresna is an iconic Javanese door.

Abadi Restaurant
This hall is surrounded with sliding doors should you wish for your function to be closed. However, you can also have it opened if you want to use the small area with the view of the swimming pool. It also boasts of a creatively crafted wood design ceiling and colorful Indonesian chandelier. This area can house 80 pax if it’s a buffet set-up and 100 pax if it’s a sit-down affair.

Day Tour Meals
After roaming around the vicinity it was time for lunch. The lunch and merienda are also included in the day tour fee. Lunch usually takes place at Abadi Restaurant but because of the team building event we were transferred to the bar.

Lunch time

Here's what we had for lunch: Seafood Chowder, Pinakbet, Kaldereta, Baby Back Ribs, Chocolate Creme Brulee & Iced Tea. The serving was more than what we expected and the dishes were superb!

The dessert was the cherry on top, it was absolutely delicious.

Tsokolate Creme Brulee

At 3pm a merienda was served, a three-piece suman with tsokolate syrup and kapeng barako (Batangas best) filled our stomachs.

Swimming Pools
After our lunch we then plunged into one of their pools. They say they have four swimming pools but we only saw three.

The third pool was the largest and most picturesque, this is where day tour guests swim.

Shower Area & Changing Room
Before going on a dip, we changed in their very colorful and clean shower room.

Swimming Time!
Of course I couldn't live without these summer essentials: GSunnies, EOS Lipbalm, Naturactor, BB Cream all from @georginasasha (visit www.georginasasha.com), Havaianas & Fuji Instax.

It was a good thing that we had the pool all to ourselves (a lot of picture taking opportunities!)

The pool was clean and inviting. The temperature of the pool was just right-not too cold not too warm. It was an invigorating swim!
