When we got to Tokyo, one of our agendas was to meet my high school friend, Lalaine (we call each other Twin) who is based in Tokyo. ChaMike spent the whole day with Twin walking along the famous districts in Tokyo and our first stop was Asakusa.

Nijo Castle is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites which was the residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun during the Edo Japanese Period. Shogun means military commander or general of Japan. It is said that Nijo Castle is the best surviving example of Japanese palace architecture.

When we booked our flights for Japan I started to list down the things I wanted to do there and included in the list was to experience staying in a Ryokan. Ryokan is a term for Japanese Inn. So when Mike showed me photos of Ryokan Sanga thru the internet I was utterly excited and immediately booked a room for 3 nights.
