Things to do in ILOCOS SUR & ILOCOS NORTE

Thursday, November 07, 2013

I love long weekends, it gives me an opportunity to do what I love most- TRAVEL! So for this 3-day halloween break my family decided to spend it in ILOCOS.

Ilocos is divided into two major provinces- Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte which is located in the northern part of Luzon. Famous for numerous tourists spots and great cuisine, Ilocos is considered to be one of the most visited places in the Philippines. This trip is one of the those trips that was on my Travel Wish List a long time ago so I was really happy I can finally strike it out on my list.

You can go here via bus, car or plane, in our case we booked thru Travel Ventours group tour via van, they arranged our itinerary to go to all the tourist attractions in the provinces.

So here are the list of things to do in Ilocos Sur

1. Travel back in time at Vigan's Calle Crisologo

The good thing about booking a group tour is that they fix all the itineraries, accommodations and transportation with skilled driver. With Travel Ventours we paid for P3,200 each for 3 days 2 nights inclusive of accommodation, tour guide, entrance fees & transportation with drivers fee, toll fee & gas.

Transportation | Grandia Van
We are 12 inside a Grandia van and since it is a group tour we are accompanied by other travelers that came straight from Cebu.

with Cebu travelers

Accommodation | Carmens Beach Resort
Carmens Resort is located in Saud Beach. The room is a budget room good for 6 persons with toilet and bath and air-conditioned unit.

Though there are a lot of things that need improvement with the operations but they were able to compensate by having an awesome guide, Joey was accommodating & very helpful so we nevertheless had a wonderful time.

    1. The tour costs 3,500 per person that includes transportation, tour, accommodation. Ready ka nalang siguro ng mga additional 2000-3000 for your food, souvenirs & pasalubongs :) depends on your budget & lifestyle
