Long Weekend Ilocos Roadtrip at Patapat Viaduct

Patapat Viaduct

For our second destination in the town of Pagudpud we stopped over at Patapat Viaduct.

Patapat Viaduct is a long elevated roadway in the town of Pagudpud which is located at the northernmost tip of Luzon. The bridge measures 31 meters high over sea level &  is 1.3 km long that connects the Maharlika Highway from Ilocos Norte to Cagayan Valley Region.

It was built due the number of vehicular accidents from the past because of landslides from the mountain. The  road trail on the mountain can still be seen up until now. Patapat Viaduct became a tourist attraction because it offers a majestic view of Pasaleng Bay.

Beautiful view of Pasaleng Bay

And so we also took pictures along the viaduct.

Waited so long to clear the people out

Going to Patapat Viaduct is something thrilling. Standing in the northernmost tip of Luzon is quite amazing. :)
