1. Havaianas
100% Brazil made! Havaianas sandals/slippers has become a household name worldwide especially in the Philippines. And I'm sure most of you have or want to have this Brazil made sandals. It's comfy & practical and the tons of colors and designs make us want to have more. In Brazil, they have plenty of them selling almost everywhere! So I searched for the store with the cheapest and widest collections of Havaianas and luckily the store I was looking for is just a walking distance from our hotel in JW Marriot Copacabana.
MG Bazar is a no-frills shop that sells different kinds of Havaianas and they sell it really cheap! From R$10- R$70 (P200-P1,400) depending on the style and size.
Of course we bought a lot for pasalubong and Christmas gifts. They were so many, we filled up one whole luggage for it. We even had to go here twice to buy more. :)
Of course we had to buy some for ourselves :)

2. Night Market in Copacabana
For really cheap Brazilian items go to the night market in front of Copacabana beach from 6pm onwards. They sell Brazilian shirts, shot glasses, mugs, magnet, keychains, Christ the Redeemer figurines, hand painted bags, swimsuit, canga (sarong), hammocks and other items. It is where most of our souvenir items were bought.

For more artistic & handmade Brazilian items, go to the Hippie Market which is open every Sunday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Here you'll find artsy fartsy souvenirs, handcrafts, bags, shirts and lots of paintings!

Brazil is well known for their jelly footwear and one of the most popular jelly shoes is Melissa. I own a couple of Melissa Shoes, they have the prettiest designs, the smell is so yummy plus it's waterproof too! So glad I visited a Melissa Store in Brazil, even if I have no plans of buying any, I was just so happy I got to step into a Melissa Store.
Amused with the designs, my Mama bought one for herself. So proud of her! :)

After buying Havaianas, we saw this Chocolates Brasil store just beside MG Bazar, we found it interesting to we bought ourselves some to take home.
We also tried their Brasil Cacau Chocolate Drink and it was delish! :)
6. Brazilian Coffee
Take home some Brazil coffee at Armazem do Cafe. This was recommended by our concierge at Ipanema Inn Hotel which is just a few blocks away. We ordered about 10 bags of Armazem Coffee 250g worth R$12.25 (P240) for our relatives back home.
If you are staying at this hotel, pay this shop a visit and you'll find unique and artistic Brazil decorations you can take home.
