ChaMike's 2nd Anniversary offering: LUZVMINDA Food Festival of Flavors at F1 Hotel Manila

After our Bacolod weekend ChaMike celebrated its actual anniversary date at F1 Hotel Manila Restaurant

Mike was the one who organized this particular date. I organized our out of town trips while he organized the actual anniversary date. And since our anniversary (June 18) fell on a weekday, we only had time for dinner. It was a surprise so I had no idea where he is taking me. He asked me to bring Nilo and Olin and to leave early from work, around 5pm because I have to prep pa but because of how erratic my job is, I finished late, 7-ish then I have to change my outfit pa, the buffet will close at 9pm! (Gaaaah! We're in QC, it's in The Fort!!! You can just imagine my helpless, ngarang and very much stressed face) we were thinking about canceling the reservation but we felt that we can't offset an important date especially if it's THE anniversary we are celebrating so we tried our luck and rushed ourselves at EDSA from Quezon City to Fort. Fortunately it was not at all traffic (Jesus was truly on our side!) After a few minutes I found myself at the parking lot of F1 Hotel then Mike handed me this note.

Cutest note! Best handwriting and bestest drawing evaaah!

When we arrived at F1 Hotel we were literally running- imagine me in heels! San ka pa! It felt as if we were running for the finish line and huraaaah! We made it 45 mins before the closing time!!!! Aaaah! Total relief :) Mike then explained to me the reason why he brought me here.

Luzviminda Food Festival of Flavors in F1 Hotel Manila was a monthlong event from June 1-30, every lunch and dinner. That's why Mike chose this restaurant because it only happened in our anniversary month. It showcased the best dishes of various areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It's a buffet feast prepared by some of the talented chefs representing their different regions. And what's more exciting was it was headed by F1's executive chef, Sau Del Rosario. For the Visayas Region, Chef Martin Jickain of Station Juan Cafe, Chef Paul Sidney Uy and Chef Karl Noel of Casa Verde and for the Mindanao Region,  Ed Tuazon of Marco Polo – Davao.

We were lucky Chef Sau was at the restaurant the night we were there.

So that's why Mike asked me to bring our travel pillows :)

And because we were running out of time, we had a strategy- get all the food we can get from appetizer, entrees to dessert and drinks before we proceed eating-hoarders kumbaga
