For our #HulingHiritSaTaginit, I together with office friends Jov and JM went to PUERTO GALERA!

Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro is slightly similar to Boracay- the sand, beach & night life but relatively CHEAPER from accommodation, side trips, fare to food.  



How to get here:
From Quezon City go to Jam Liner bus station along Edsa and ride an air-conditioned bus going to Batangas Port for P175 fee, travel time is 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Then from the Batangas Port buy ticket for P275 one way with additional P30 for terminal fee and P50 for environmental fee. After 1 1/2 hours of travel time you are now in White Beach Puerto Galera.

Take note White Beach is different from Sabang & Lalaguna.

Where to Stay:
If you are fond of the night life it is best to stay at the White Beach shore area rather than in Sabang or around town. That's why we stayed at White Beach Hotel and Restaurant. Accommodation costs P2,500 for 4 pax on peak season. Comes with 2 queen size beds, hot and cold shower, TV and free wifi at the veranda and restaurant area.

The shore of White Beach is quite long, just find a spot there to bask in the sun and swim.

Food Trip
There is no shortage of restaurants in Puerto Galera. Almost all restaurants offer the same menu though you can find there Italian restaurants which serves pasta and pizza.
