ARACAMA... finally!

For those of you who have been reading my blog I guess you know that I produce a reality cooking show- MasterChef Pinoy Edition on ABS-CBN - where one of the chef judges is a renowned chef in our country, Chef Fernando Aracama

ChaMike with Chef Ferns Aracama during our Christmas party

So ever since his restaurant, ARACAMA opened last year I was really eager to visit but it was not until our good friend/ director offered to treat the production staff to this restaurant that I got to experience Aracama.

ARACAMA is located along Fort Strip beside Prive Luxury Club, where Chef Ferns is also one of the owners. It's the former club, Embassy and who would have imagined that a club will be transformed into this traditional high end Filipino dining.

Aracama serves traditional Filipino Cuisine which I love and because we are a good number of 12 we ordered a lot!

For appetizers and salad, we had Fish Balls (P175), Malunggay Mozzarella Dip (P195), Kinilaw du Jour (P350) and Ensaladang Talong (P160)

From the appetizers, I really enjoyed eating their Fish Balls- their sosyal version of street food  which is made from scratch. I also loved their Malunggay Mozarella Dip and I'm guilty of eating half of the serving.

We also ordered veggie dishes which were very good as well- Kinilaw na Puso ng Saging (P175) & Gising Gising (P195).

For the main course we ordered Kalo-Kalo (P120) a Negrense style fried  rice, Inasal na Manok (P375), Kare Kareng Baka (P480) and Callos (P460). Sadly, we never got to try their pork dishes as Direk Jon doesn't eat pork.

I loved all their dishes, especially the Kare-Kare. I loooove Kare-Kare! Inasal na Manok was equally delish as expected, Chef Ferns is from Bacolod.

For the dessert I tried their Chocnut Ice Cream (P120) and I highly recommend you to try this! It's soooo yummy! :)

And of course cocktails were a sure hit! Chef Ferns even offered free drinks to all of us! :)

Cheers!

Perfect for family & friends bonding. I will definitely go back here and bring my family along and will order other dishes they offer especially their pork dishes.
