#ChaMikeAnnivSpecial at the islands of Caramoan

Caramoan is located in Camarines Sur, Bicol. It remains unexploited  from commercial tourism but known to be a favorite site for international franchises of Survivor such as Serbia, Israel, Bulgaria, Sweden, France & now USA. Kaya I've been wanting to go here ever since I heard the news.

However we almost didn't make it to Naga because we're afraid that there's a storm coming. But because we don't want to spoil our much awaited anniversary, we didn't back out, in fact our officemates Kris & Ms. Maya came along too!

We booked the first flight from MNL-NAGA. Thank you Patch for sunny Caramoan! She took the time to offer eggs to St. Clare solely for this trip (close na talaga sila ni Sta Clara!)

From the airport, we took a cab going to Guijalo Port for 1 1/2 hours of travel time. Then took a boat from Guijalo to Caramoan port for 2 hours.

Caramoan at last! Booked at West Peninsula Villas. We just left our stuff there then went straight to Bikal Port

Island hopping off we go!

Lajos Island- Lajos or Lahos means overflow. From a far, you'll see a beautiful island, it's like two separated rocks on a flat white sand

We decided to eat our lunch here instead of eating at the villa.

Shrimp, laing & fish!
From the 3 Islands we dropped by here in Caramoan, Lajos Island is the most popular to tourists. It's one of the few islands tourists can drop by during the filming of Survivor (most of the best islands here are occupied by Survivor kasi)

Cagmalinad Island is the next island we went to. It was high tide when we got there so we didn't see much of the shore.

Cagmalinad
It's just me & Mike who planned to swim but because of the pristine water Kris & Ms Maya can't help but swim too.
Blissful water
This is LIFE!
It is one of those moments when you thank the Lord for His wonderful creation. Philippines is blessed for having plenty of rich natural resources. :)

Tip: They don't have snorkel and goggle rentals here in Caramoan (not unlike in other beaches) so its best to bring with you snorkel or goggles to enjoy the underwater sights (buti nalang si Mike meron dalang goggles)

Matukad Island is one of the islands that are off limits because of the filming of Survivor USA. My friend Chatt told me that when they went here before it's open for tourists and they can trek up to have a clear view of the island (Sayang!)

Matukad Island

Honungan Cove & Gota Beach are one of the off- limit islands because the Survivor staff stay here during the filming of Survivor. But as of this writing, Gota beach is now accepting bookings- http://www.cwcwake.com/cwc_news_press/p2_articleid/363

Bosdak Island is one of the three islands we went to. Its sand is fine and black, and it's high tide too so we didn't get to enjoy Bosdak Island. Kaya after a quick picture of the island, we went back to the boat.

Came across this wonderful rock formation on our way back to the port

It was such a tiring day! We had dinner at the resort then slept right away.

The next day, woke up early to catch the morning boat going back to Naga City, but have few stop overs.

Tip: Best time to go here is when there's no schedule of Survivor. In this way you can maximize your stay and drop off the islands that are off limits during the filming.
