Pigging out in CEBU CITYSunday, August 26, 2012
Eating is a great therapy & Cebu is a perfect place to find good eats that is satisfying & unique. Here are a list of restaurants I tried:
One of the main reasons why I want to go to Cebu is because I want to eat at Zubuchon. Everyone's raving about the best roasted pig in the world which Anthony Bourdain said when he went to the Philippines for his show No Reservations.
Small Lechon (1/2 kilo) costs P260
Aside from their bestseller lechon, they also serve Kinilaw, Sisig, Sinigang, Dinuguan, Paksiw, Crispy Pata, Adobong Kangkong any many more.
I like their kamias shake too!

So for best tasting lechon, Zubuchon is highly recommended! :)

2. La Tegola
My boyfriend recommended this Italian restaurant since this is his fave whenever he goes to Cebu to visit his relatives.
My family & I went to Ayala Terraces' branch to try their pizza & pasta and surprisingly the Italian owner was there to welcome and assist all his costumers, talk about Italian hospitality :)
After placing our order, they served us appetizers while waiting. It's a thin crust focaccia topped with minced tomatoes, herbs & sauce. It's so yummy that I forgot to take pictures, hehehe :)
We ordered Tutta Carne Pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, cooked ham & bell pepper
Spaghetti al Cartoccio is a seafood spaghetti pasta wrapped in aluminum foil & baked in the oven.
So if you want to eat in an authentic Italian Restaurant in Cebu, I recommend you to eat here. The ambience makes the experience even better.

3. Mooon Cafe
Mooon Cafe has several branches around the Philippines and some says that their branch in Cebu is their first. Mooon Cafe is a Mexican Cantina inspired restaurant, it's interiors are colorful & catchy which caught our attention to eat at their branch in The Walk, IT Park.
Mooon Cafe interiors

(left) Tenderloin Steak P267 (upper right) Mexican Baby Back Ribs P189, (lower right) Spaghetti Bolognese P149
And so after eating & raving about this unique find, we asked one of the servers if Mooon Cafe does have a branch in Manila then she said that they have one in SM Fairview (toink!) Talk about unique! :p
Casa Verde serves homestyle comfort food which serves ribs, steaks & pastas. We ate at their Ayala Terraces Branch at buti nalang bukas pa siya, we arrived at the city from Catmon at around 9:30 pm.

(top) Death by Chocolate P148 (bottom) Lauren's Lava P145
If given a chance to go back to Cebu, I'll try eating at their first branch in Ramos Town where the feel is homey & nature friendly but nonetheless we we're satisfied.

5. Harbour City Dimsum House
For affordable eats, dine at Harbour City. Mike recommended this Chiniese cuisine restaurant as it's his favorite Chinese restaurant in Cebu ever since he's little.
Mike's raving about, Steamed Fried Rice for P62
Mike ordered 2 for himself! Solve na siya! :)
As for me & Ron, we also ordered...
(upper left) sweet & sour pork P57 (lower left) Quails Egg Shoamai P60 (upper right) Egg Drop Soup P59 (lower right) Shanghai Roll P57
Satisfied costumers :)
6. La Marea
For dessert lovers, I recommend eating at La Marea! We ordered a lot, but we fell in love with their best seller, Warm Brownie Cup for P95. Mike was even craving for it a few days after so don't ever leave Cebu without eating here! :)

Aside from desserts, they also serve entrees, but in my case I ordered Chocolate Cake :)
