Anniversary in SALA RESTAURANT

#ChaMikeAnnivSpecial in Sala Restaurant.

Sala Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant located at Locsin Bldg along Makati Ave. Unlike Aubergine, I've never heard of Sala Restaurant not until our anniversary date where Mike surprised me to dine here. It is a special night for a special day so this is a perfect place to celebrate according to Mike.

And for the 2nd time, I brought my camera but forgot the memory card! (WTH is wrong with me?)

When we arrived, we saw a lot of Caucasians. The place has a high-end snooty ambiance. And unlike in other restaurants, there were no warm greetings & no special treatment whatsoever (even when Mike told them it's our anniversary)

When we saw the menu, as expected the prices were high, Mike and I decided to order a full five course meal for sharing worth P 1,980

Confused! What to use? :p

For starters they offered complimentary unlimited bread of many choices with butter on the side :) happiness! (I love eating bread btw)

Then they also served complimentary starters- smiling Babaganush.

A salad of crisp squash flowers, baby beetroot, Davao goat cheese and candied orange.

I didn't know you can eat squash flowers. It's delish! The pairing of it with goat cheese makes it even better! :)

Warm lobster, sweet shrimp, asparagus & soy bean salad with dill & lemon aioli

I love seafoods! The veggies were done perfectly!

Grilled marinated quail with truffled mushroom, sage and mascarpone risotto.

Truly divine! :) I think it's my first time to eat quail & risotto :)

Grilled angus hanger steak, roast carrots, parsnip puree, pink peppercorn & confited garlic jus

Warm dark chocolate fondant, salted caramel and malted milk ice cream.

It's the high end version of Wicked Kitchen's sloth. This is soooooooo good!!!
